Taiwan is progressing with the development of a long-range cruise missile, known as the “carrier killer,” aimed at strengthening its maritime defenses.
Reports suggest the missile could have a range of up to 1,000 kilometers (621 miles), enabling it to reach key areas of the South and East China Seas where Chinese aircraft carriers operate.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, the weapon is subsonic and builds on the Hsiung Feng IIE land-attack missile, with enhancements in stealth and overall performance.
