Estonia’s Milrem Robotics and Poland’s Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have formalized a new partnership through a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding defence ties and boosting industrial cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe. The agreement outlines joint efforts to develop advanced technologies by leveraging combined expertise in autonomous systems, manufacturing, and integration.
A major priority will be equipping unmanned ground vehicles with modular payloads, allowing adaptable and rapidly deployable solutions for modern combat scenarios. The partners will also assess the integration of Milrem’s autonomous capabilities into PGZ’s existing vehicle platforms to enhance future operational performance.
The collaboration goes beyond technology development, covering areas such as R&D, production, sustainment, and lifecycle support, with the goal of progressing toward follow-on contracts for deliveries and upgrades. Milrem Robotics CEO Kuldar Väärsi noted that the partnership would accelerate innovation and interoperability, while PGZ’s Marcin Idzik stated it would strengthen Poland’s defence industry and support the growth of its unmanned systems capabilities.
