Alpine Eagle, a European specialist in counter-drone technologies, is expanding production of its Sentinel system to meet growing global demand for defenses against unmanned aerial threats. The company plans to open a new 2,000-square-meter facility near Munich focused on manufacturing interceptor drones. To support rapid scaling, it is partnering with DeltaQuad by integrating the DeltaQuad Evo UAV platform, allowing it to tap into established production capabilities while ensuring supply chain resilience within Europe.

Sentinel is designed as a network-centric airborne counter-UAS system that connects sensors and interceptor drones through a unified control architecture. It delivers real-time detection, tracking, and engagement by combining active and passive sensing with advanced onboard data fusion. Its edge-computing capability enables rapid decision-making at the platform level, reducing latency and dependence on external communications.

The surge in demand reflects evolving battlefield realities, where low-cost drone swarms have proven capable of overwhelming traditional air defence systems. Recent conflicts have highlighted the economic mismatch, with billions spent on intercepting relatively inexpensive drone attacks. This has accelerated interest in affordable, scalable counter-UAS solutions across Europe and beyond. Alpine Eagle has responded by expanding its presence into the UK and Netherlands, following its first operational deployment with the German military in 2024 and participation in high-intensity counter-drone trials conducted in Ukraine with US and UK partners.
