Leidos has been awarded a $454.9-million contract to support the modernization of the US Air Force’s Cloud One platform, a secure environment used to host and manage military software applications.

The initiative will see Leidos working alongside major commercial cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Through the program, the Air Force aims to enhance cybersecurity capabilities, expand automation within cloud operations, and streamline the management of cloud-based systems. These improvements will allow military units to move applications and data into secure cloud environments while safeguarding mission-critical operations.

The upgrades are also expected to accelerate the delivery of digital services to personnel and simplify the oversight of cloud infrastructure across the Air Force.

According to Leidos, the contract supports its NorthStar 2030 strategy, which prioritizes expanding the company’s presence in major technology modernization and cybersecurity projects across US government agencies.

Latest Initiatives

The award follows several recent digital and cyber initiatives involving Leidos and allied defense organizations.

The company recently teamed up with RegScale to deploy automated compliance and cybersecurity monitoring solutions across the US Department of Defense and other federal entities.

In 2025, Leidos partnered with VML to develop Imperium, an AI-driven platform designed to assist US information operations by enabling planning, execution, and analysis of information campaigns with built-in governance and compliance features.

Earlier in 2025, Leidos also secured an $87-million deal with the NATO Communications and Information Agency to develop a centralized IT infrastructure based on private cloud technology. The program includes partners such as Thales, CGI, Leonardo, and the UK-based firms LA International and NEXO, with the goal of improving scalability and strengthening NATO’s cyber resilience.
