Rheinmetall has received a 1.015-billion-euro ($1.18-billion) contract from the German Armed Forces for the delivery of over 2,000 logistics vehicles.
The purchase forms part of a broader seven-year framework contract signed in 2024 for as many as 6,500 military vehicles. The current batch includes nearly 1,000 heavy 8×8 trucks with 15-ton payload capacity, along with approximately 1,000 lighter 4×4 and 6×6 vehicles capable of carrying 3.5 tons and 5 tons.
Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles is scheduled to start deliveries of the unarmored platforms during the first half of 2026, with most units expected to reach the German military within the same year.
All vehicles are drawn from Rheinmetall’s HX series, which was specifically engineered for military operations and is recognized for its high mobility, toughness, and off-road capability.
The latest agreement comes after Rheinmetall secured a separate 770-million-euro ($894-million) order in August 2025 to provide more than 1,300 vehicles under the same long-term procurement program.
