The US Army has awarded Elbit Systems America a $49.9 million contract to supply heads-up displays (HUDs) for its UH-60 Black Hawk and CH-47 Chinook fleets.

The color Air Warrior HUD projects essential flight and mission information directly into the crew’s field of view, allowing pilots to maintain focus outside the cockpit instead of relying on instrument panels.

This system forms part of the Air Soldier System program, a lightweight, integrated suite aimed at improving aircrew situational awareness and survivability. It is gradually replacing the older Air Warrior equipment introduced in 2004.

The contract extends through December 2030 and includes ongoing post-production support.
