Cadre Holdings subsidiary Med-Eng has won $86.4 million in contracts to provide blast-mitigation seating systems for Mowag Eagle V armored vehicles manufactured by General Dynamics European Land Systems.
The contracts—valued at $74.6 million and $11.8 million—cover seating systems that will be installed in Eagle V 4×4 command-and-control vehicles as well as Eagle V 6×6 protected ambulance platforms. Production for the Eagle V 4×4 fleet is expected to begin in 2026 and continue through 2031, while the Eagle V 6×6 program will run from 2026 to 2029.
Med-Eng designs its blast-attenuation seats to shield crews from the powerful forces generated by mine blasts and improvised explosive devices. Such explosions can propel vehicles upward with intense acceleration before slamming them back to the ground. The company’s seating technology helps absorb and reduce the resulting impact forces on vehicle occupants.
The company has extensive experience supplying blast-protection seating solutions for both new-build and upgraded wheeled and tracked military platforms.
Growth of the Eagle Vehicle Fleet
The Mowag Eagle armored vehicle series has become a widely used protected mobility platform across Europe. In December 2025, Germany signed major framework agreements with GDELS covering up to 5,000 Eagle V vehicles, with nearly 3,000 units ordered immediately.
Other notable operators include Switzerland, which received additional Eagle V 6×6 reconnaissance vehicles in 2019, and Denmark, which selected the Eagle platform in 2017 for its reconnaissance and light armored vehicle programs.
