Plasan has unveiled a trio of advanced vehicle protection technologies aimed at countering the threats that have increasingly challenged armored platforms in recent conflicts, namely top-attack drones, mine-related blasts, and shaped-charge weapons.
The company’s latest offerings include ATHENA (Advanced Thickening Energetic Armour), TAPS (Top Attack Protection System), and LAPS (Leg Active Protection System).
Designed to defeat rocket-propelled grenades, shaped-charge warheads, and explosively formed penetrators, ATHENA is a mounted protection package for armored vehicles. The system achieves its defensive capabilities without the use of energetic materials, providing a safer and more efficient armor solution.
