SSS Defence has introduced the T12, a next-generation 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun engineered for contemporary military operations. Built with rugged materials and innovative features, the gas-operated, magazine-fed platform includes a distinctive “drop-in” trigger system, setting it apart from other tactical shotguns in its class.
The T12 incorporates a 20-inch nitrided barrel to ensure long service life and resistance to corrosion, while its receivers are crafted from high-strength 7075 T6 aluminium, delivering an optimal balance of durability and reduced weight. The design also includes ambidextrous controls and an adjustable buttstock with a cheek rest, providing enhanced comfort and flexibility for operators in various combat environments.
Optimized for Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) applications, the shotgun is capable of engaging low-altitude drones using specialized ammunition, while also serving traditional roles such as close-quarters battle, breaching, and security operations. This multi-role capability increases its appeal across a wide range of military and security forces.
The system’s high level of component commonality with other SSS Defence weapons simplifies maintenance and logistics, reducing the need for additional training or spare parts.
Planned future upgrades include suppressed variants designed for covert missions and low-signature operations. With its blend of innovation, durability, and versatility, the T12 highlights SSS Defence’s growing capabilities in advanced small arms development and its competitiveness in the global defense market.
