GDIT has been awarded a $120 million task order to field an AI-driven zero trust cybersecurity solution at 187 US Air Force installations around the world as part of the Next Generation Gateway program. The company will implement its Everest Zero Trust Digital Accelerator to provide data-level protection across all security classifications, ultimately serving a global user base exceeding one million. Leveraging artificial intelligence, the platform aims to improve the speed and effectiveness of cyber threat detection and mitigation. The initiative reflects the US Department of Defense’s emphasis on zero trust principles—built around continuous authentication and authorization for every user, device, and application. This strategy is already being advanced by DISA through zero trust controls in cloud environments, while industry partners continue to support the effort with complementary security and identity management solutions.
