Patria has entered into several agreements with Czech state defense institutions as Czech Republic advances plans to procure a next-generation 8×8 armored vehicle fleet.
The accords, signed with the Military Technical Institute, the Military Research Institute, and VOP CZ, are aimed at expanding local industrial cooperation and building long-term capabilities for production, maintenance, and future platform development inside the country.
Patria stated that the collaboration framework is intended to guarantee strong participation from Czech public- and private-sector defense companies if its proposal is selected.
Modernization Push
The Czech Army’s modernization program calls for over 250 armored vehicles to replace its current Pandur II 8×8 platforms, which entered service in the early 2000s.
If approved, deliveries under the project are scheduled to begin in 2029.
Patria is pitching the AMV XP 8×8 CZ for the requirement — a Czech-tailored variant of the company’s Armored Modular Vehicle platform built for NATO interoperability and future growth potential.
