Lockheed Martin has partnered with MANTECH, a Virginia-based IT and defense services firm, to apply artificial intelligence technologies to the sustainment of US military combat aircraft.

Under the strategic agreement, the companies will develop AI-enabled solutions that deliver continuous aircraft health monitoring, predictive maintenance insights, and optimized logistics support, all while meeting stringent military security and data integrity requirements.

The data-driven approach aims to anticipate maintenance needs before failures occur, improving fleet availability, lowering sustainment costs, and ensuring higher levels of operational readiness for US defense aviation forces.
