AeroVironment (AV) has joined forces with OpenJAUS to boost interoperability among autonomous and remotely operated systems, enhancing field efficiency and simplifying software integration.
The partnership integrates the OpenJAUS development kit into AV’s AV_Halo Command software, enabling communication through the JAUS (Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems) standard.
Supported by the US Department of Defense, JAUS enables seamless data and command exchange between unmanned platforms from various manufacturers.
This integration allows AV_Halo Command to manage a wider range of air, land, and sea-based autonomous systems through one unified interface.
It also speeds up the process of connecting new vehicles or payloads, reducing reliance on proprietary protocols and allowing faster mission adaptation.
