Orqa has signed a partnership agreement with Red River Army Depot to support the expansion of small UAS manufacturing for the US Army.
As part of the arrangement, Red River Army Depot will handle the production of Orqa drones for US military use, while the Croatian company will provide technical expertise and manufacturing support. The resulting systems are expected to meet US operational requirements and may also be exported to partner countries through defense cooperation frameworks.
The initiative is in line with provisions in the latest National Defense Authorization Act aimed at boosting unmanned systems production within existing army depots.
While growing its international footprint, Orqa continues to maintain its primary production base in Osijek, where it leverages technologies such as 3D printing and RF testing. Its development efforts are focused on FPV drone systems, including communication components, control units, headsets, and low-latency video links.
Most of the company’s design and engineering processes—covering electronics, RF systems, optics, and prototyping—are conducted internally.
This agreement expands Orqa’s ongoing cooperation with the US military and is part of its broader Global Manufacturing Program, which aims to increase production scale and integrate with the US defense industrial ecosystem.
The company currently produces up to 280,000 drones annually and plans to scale output to more than one million units per year through US-based partnerships. Orqa systems have also been used in exercises led by US Army Europe and Africa, including drone-centric warfighter competitions designed to test UAS capabilities in operational environments.
