Dronetag has been chosen among 20 companies to join the second cohort of the European Union Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) Business Accelerator, specifically within a counter-drone technology track.
The program, funded under the European Defence Fund, is designed to support emerging companies developing technologies critical to European defense. Of the selected participants, six focus on counter-UAS solutions, reflecting rising regional demand for effective drone detection systems.
EUDIS provides a structured support framework that includes mentoring, specialized training, and engagement opportunities with defense agencies, investors, and European institutions. Participants also attend bootcamps linked to major defense exhibitions and receive more than 300 hours of advisory assistance to accelerate product development and understand procurement pathways.
Dronetag is the first company from the Czech Republic to join the accelerator. The firm had earlier been selected in 2023 for the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic, becoming the first Czech participant in that program as well.
The company specializes in passive radio-frequency detection systems that locate drones by intercepting signals from the aircraft or their controllers. As these systems do not transmit signals, they avoid electromagnetic interference and can seamlessly integrate with existing surveillance infrastructure.
Its detection solutions are built around Remote ID standards required in the US and EU. In addition, Dronetag is developing advanced capabilities to identify drones that do not broadcast Remote ID, including tracking proprietary communication protocols and enhancing detection of first-person view drones through signal and video analysis.
Looking ahead, the company is working on technologies to determine drone positions using satellite navigation signals and to strengthen defenses against spoofing and signal interference.
