In a bid to revamp France’s long-range firepower, MBDA and Safran have introduced THUNDART, a guided rocket system with a range of 150 kilometers (93 miles).
The system is presented as a mature, near-term solution to succeed the Lance-Roquette Unitaire (LRU), marking a tangible advance in France’s artillery modernization drive.
By merging MBDA’s serial production capacity with Safran’s proven precision guidance technologies from the AASM munitions line, THUNDART promises enhanced accuracy and responsiveness for future operations.
