Virginia-based Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) has launched the Sentry 6161, a next-generation tactical radio designed for frontline soldiers as well as government, emergency services, infrastructure, and commercial operators.

The system employs software-defined technology, allowing seamless switching across multiple radio bands and networks to support diverse missions. It is compatible with both older clip-on batteries and modern centralized power packs, cutting weight while extending field endurance.

Built for resilience, the Sentry 6161 ensures command-and-control capabilities even in environments affected by GPS jamming or damaged infrastructure.

Military trials have confirmed its ability to link with allied networks, host multiple waveforms, and transition smoothly between power sources. Its modular architecture further simplifies maintenance and upgrades, reducing long-term operating costs.
