V2X has been awarded a role under a $25-billion US Department of Defense initiative focused on refreshing legacy platforms, mitigating microelectronics shortages, and accelerating AI implementation across the force.

Known as the Advanced Technology Support Program 5 (ATSP5), the contract vehicle enables federal and state entities to issue task orders covering diverse engineering and technical requirements.

Work under the program may include system research, conceptual design, prototype development, integration, testing, and limited production runs. It also encompasses long-term support for embedded technologies, network-enabled warfare systems, and large-scale integration projects.

Modernization Drive

As part of ATSP5, V2X will be eligible to pursue task orders in areas such as systems engineering, digital twin development, automated testing frameworks, performance optimization, and microelectronics reliability.

According to the company, its contributions will support rapid capability fielding and advanced technology integration across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.

V2X is among a cohort of firms selected to assist the Pentagon in modernizing existing systems while introducing next-generation computing, autonomous capabilities, and AI-powered technologies. The ATSP5 framework is set to underpin major defense technology upgrades in the coming years.
