L3Harris Technologies has partnered with RFTEQ through a memorandum of understanding aimed at advancing electronic warfare (EW) capabilities for the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO), a joint initiative that integrates government agencies with local industry to strengthen Australia’s defence ecosystem.
As part of the collaboration, L3Harris will bring its capabilities in electromagnetic systems design, integration, and production, alongside intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) technologies. These will complement RFTEQ’s established expertise in radio frequency solutions, including base modules, customized systems, microwave technologies, and testing equipment.
The partnership aligns with Australia’s push for defence self-sufficiency while enhancing readiness against emerging and complex security challenges.
The agreement also reflects L3Harris’s continued investment in Australia, including the rollout of an electronic warfare facility in Brisbane in 2024 and an Indo-Pacific support hub in Pinkenba in 2025. Additionally, the company has developed the NETCASTER device locally, offering improved tactical communication capabilities over conventional network systems.
