Gilat Satellite Networks has been awarded a $9-million order by Israel Ministry of Defense to supply and integrate SATCOM capabilities for military applications.
The contract covers advanced defense modems and supporting services within Gilat’s ground-based satellite communications solutions. Designed for critical missions, the systems are built to withstand harsh conditions and ensure dependable connectivity in operational settings.
The initiative seeks to reinforce secure, flexible communications for a wide spectrum of defense activities.
This development aligns with Israel’s sustained focus on SATCOM modernization. Gilat previously secured an $8-million-plus defense communications deal in July 2025, while Elbit Systems and Orbit Communication Systems also won significant defense SATCOM-related contracts in late 2024.
