Frankenburg Technologies of Estonia has partnered with Poland’s Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) under a framework agreement to produce the Mark I anti-drone missile system within Poland, reinforcing efforts to localize advanced defence manufacturing.
The deal includes plans to set up a production facility capable of manufacturing up to 10,000 missiles per year. Developed in a rapid 13-month timeline using off-the-shelf components, the Mark I missile was first showcased in December. It is engineered to counter unmanned aerial threats moving at speeds of up to 200 km/h, offering a strike range of 2 kilometers and supporting both fire-and-forget and lock-on-after-launch engagement modes for reliable performance in diverse conditions.
The agreement also outlines future collaboration on next-generation systems such as the Mark II missile, which is expected to deliver extended engagement ranges of 5–8 kilometers, further enhancing multi-layered air defence networks.
This partnership builds on a prior agreement focused on integrating and co-marketing advanced counter-drone and air defence solutions. It enables coordinated production, joint development initiatives, and strategic investment planning, while contributing to the growth of Poland’s defence industrial ecosystem and overall military capability.
