Elbit Systems has landed a $277 million contract to provide UT30 MK2 remotely controlled turrets and related ammunition to an unnamed global customer. The program is scheduled to be completed within three years.

The award builds on growing international adoption of the system, including its recent selection by General Dynamics European Land Systems for ASCOD platforms and Romania’s 2023 order for Piranha V armored vehicles.

The UT30 MK2 turret is engineered to boost armored vehicle lethality while safeguarding crews. Its adaptable design supports both manned and unmanned use, and it integrates a 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster II cannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and anti-tank missiles. Independent optical systems and STANAG Level 4 protection further enhance operational effectiveness.
