Keysight Technologies has partnered with SRC UK to strengthen electronic warfare testing and simulation capabilities for defense organizations facing increasingly complex electromagnetic threats. The collaboration centers on the wider adoption of Keysight’s Electronic Warfare Advanced Simulation Platform (EWASP), which enables military operators and developers to test EW systems in realistic radio-frequency threat environments. As part of the agreement, SRC UK will contribute engineering services, systems integration support, mission data expertise, and localized customer assistance to help defense users implement the platform more efficiently. The partnership is also designed to support modernization efforts by allowing existing threat libraries and legacy testing infrastructure to transition into newer architectures without significant operational disruption. The companies noted that defense forces are under growing pressure to accelerate validation of advanced EW capabilities while operating in highly contested electromagnetic environments. The initiative aligns with the ongoing move toward software-defined electronic warfare systems, which provide greater flexibility and faster updates in response to emerging threats. Keysight’s EWASP platform recreates complex radio-frequency battlespaces in controlled test settings, enabling engineers to evaluate how electronic warfare systems identify, process, and counter hostile radar, communications, and jamming signals. Its open and modular architecture supports testing across every stage of system development, from initial laboratory experimentation to final mission validation and operational assessment. By simulating sophisticated electromagnetic scenarios, the platform reduces dependence on costly live-field testing while improving evaluation accuracy and development speed. In recent years, Keysight Technologies has expanded its presence within the global defense testing market through multiple military contracts. NATO previously selected the company to deliver radar target generators and EW simulators for naval testing facilities used across allied fleets. Earlier, the US Air Force awarded Keysight a significant contract to provide Electronic Warfare Threat Simulators capable of modeling and analyzing advanced operational threat scenarios.
