Hanwha Ocean has entered into a strategic partnership with ONEX Shipyards & Technologies Group to jointly pursue defense projects for the Hellenic Armed Forces.
The agreement positions both companies as key partners for upcoming naval and coast guard programs in Greece, including potential submarine initiatives, as Hanwha looks to strengthen its presence in the European market.
The collaboration will focus on enhancing shipbuilding as well as maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, contributing to the growth of Greece’s maritime defense sector.
In addition, the partnership aims to explore future opportunities across the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions over the mid- to long term. ONEX operates major shipyard facilities in Syros Neorion and Elefsis.
