Anduril UK has entered a partnership with GKN Aerospace to support the British Army’s Project NYX, a program aimed at developing cutting-edge autonomous land systems.

The agreement appoints GKN Aerospace as Anduril’s airframe production and electrical integration partner, with contributions also coming from its Isle of Wight manufacturing site.

This collaboration is part of a larger network of over 100 suppliers involved in Project NYX, representing an industrial effort supporting roughly 50,000 jobs throughout the UK.

As part of the partnership, GKN Aerospace will provide airframe structures and integrate electrical subsystems, while Anduril will manage overall platform-level system integration.

Archer Aviation is also taking part, bringing its expertise in eVTOL platforms and hybrid propulsion to complement Project NYX’s development goals.

A broad group of companies is now contributing to the Project NYX ecosystem, expanding visibility into the industrial landscape supporting the British Army’s autonomous systems ambitions.

Archer Aviation’s participation, through collaboration with Anduril and GKN Aerospace, includes exploring hybrid propulsion and advanced rotorcraft technologies for future Autonomous Collaborative Platform requirements.

Down the supply chain, firms such as Atom Performance Technologies, Flarebright, Olsen Actuators, and Isembard are among the more than one hundred UK partners involved, delivering capabilities from propulsion and micro-UAV systems to actuators, embedded electronics, and advanced manufacturing services.
