CACI International has secured a $416-million, five-year task order to upgrade and sustain the US Navy’s information technology systems under the Naval Sea Systems Command, advancing efforts to modernize fleet operations and maritime maintenance.
Awarded through the SeaPort-Next Generation contract vehicle, the work supports the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution, which aims to simplify logistics and maintenance procedures for both ships and submarines.
Throughout the contract period, CACI will employ Industry 4.0 tools, Agile development methods, and its Agile Solution Factory framework to transform legacy systems into a cloud-first, integrated IT environment.
This modernization initiative will enhance operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, facilitate data-driven decision-making, and help reduce maintenance costs.
IT modernization is a key component of the Navy’s strategy to maintain readiness and effectiveness. Recent related efforts include General Dynamics IT’s $988-million C5ISR upgrade, Sev1Tech’s $49-million cybersecurity and network support award, and Agile Defense’s $44-million Military Sealift Command IT modernization program.
