The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded BAE Systems Information and Electronic Warfare Systems (Hudson, New Hampshire) a $1.743 billion contract to produce as many as 55,000 APKWS II guided rockets under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement.

The contract covers production lots 13–17 and will provide guided rockets to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and allied nations under Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Deliveries will run through December 2031, supporting the long-term availability of this key precision-strike system.

Valued at up to $1.743 billion, the deal represents one of the biggest APKWS II procurements ever made. It underscores the weapon’s critical role in modern operations while guaranteeing production continuity and supporting U.S. and allied stockpiles well into the next decade.
