In a major defense milestone, the British Prime Minister has approved a 10-year, $11 billion agreement to deliver 20 Eurofighter Typhoons to Turkey, a fellow NATO member. The UK Ministry of Defence called it the “biggest fighter jet deal in a generation,” stating that it enhances Turkey’s combat readiness while reinforcing NATO’s presence in a critical region. The deal will sustain 20,000 UK jobs and could expand to include more jets in future orders.
