Türkiye has signed a milestone defense deal with Indonesia for the sale of 48 KAAN fifth-generation fighter aircraft.
The agreement, Türkiye’s largest-ever defense export, covers production engineering, technology transfer, and local assembly—solidifying its role in the global fighter jet market.
Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries, the KAAN is the country’s first homegrown stealth fighter, built for multirole missions and equipped with AESA radar, AI-based avionics, IRST, and advanced EW capabilities.
