Finland and Sweden have placed a joint order for more than 300 additional Sisu GTP 4×4 armored vehicles, increasing their combined fleet to over 600. The $211-million acquisition spans multiple variants — medical, command, CBRN-detection, air-defense, and single-cab models — with deliveries aligned to existing timelines. The GTP is optimized for all-terrain mobility, featuring differential locks on all axles, independent suspension, CTIS, winch capability, and optional traction chains. It boasts 0.4-meter ground clearance, a 45-degree approach angle, and the ability to climb gradients up to 60 percent. A Mercedes-Benz OM926 diesel engine powers the vehicle, while its modular armor system supports STANAG 4569 protection levels with add-on kits for enhanced survivability.
