Sweden has ordered 94 more Patria 6×6 armored vehicles under the multinational CAVS program, adding to a previous order of 321 vehicles placed in March 2024. The new package, worth about 1.5 billion SEK ($159.8 million), increases Sweden’s total fleet to 415 vehicles scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2030. The procurement covers troop transport, C2, and Medevac variants of the Pansarterrängbil 300. Officials said the expansion demonstrates confidence in the CAVS framework and strengthens interoperability across participating countries. The order adds to recent Swedish modernization efforts, including acquisitions of RIPSAW M3 robotic vehicles and additional Sisu GTP 4×4 platforms. Led by Finland and Patria, the CAVS program unites Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, and the UK, standardizing procurement and reducing costs. The modular 6×6 platform is adaptable for diverse missions, and the program remains open to additional partners.
