For the first time, Ireland will deploy an advanced radar system capable of detecting stealth aircraft and aircraft flying “dark,” including those used in illegal trafficking or hijacking. The upgrade significantly enhances Ireland’s currently limited aerial surveillance capability and will form a key part of its future national defense strategy, offering real-time situational awareness across Irish-controlled airspace.
