Rheinmetall has received an order exceeding €130 million to supply 50,000 advanced communication headsets to the German Armed Forces. Known as SmG sets, the systems integrate active hearing protection with multi-radio voice communication, dampening impulse noise while amplifying low-level sounds. The headsets feature push-to-talk controls, optional onboard communication cables, and compatibility with modern combat helmets. Delivered in partnership with 3M Peltor and CEOTRONICS, the order represents the third lot under a seven-year framework contract allowing up to 191,000 sets valued at roughly €400 million.
