Denmark has signed a long-term framework agreement with Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) to acquire up to 1,000 modern logistics trucks as part of its armed forces modernization effort. The first batch covers more than 100 HX and TG series vehicles and is valued in the tens of millions of euros. Managed by the Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO), the procurement includes vehicle delivery, lifecycle sustainment, spare parts support, and operator training modules. The deal also extends Denmark’s existing HX support contract by an additional four years, ensuring better operational availability across its fleet.

Deliveries of the new trucks are planned to begin before the end of 2027. RMMV’s HX lineup, recognized as one of NATO’s most resilient military vehicle platforms, offers nine base configurations from 4×4 to 10×10. These trucks carry payloads between 5 and 16 tons and run on 440-horsepower MAN D2066 Euro 4 diesel engines, enabling speeds up to 100 km/h and ranges approaching 800 kilometers. Their 400-liter fuel tanks, 17-ton cargo capacity, and robust off-road performance allow them to support a wide range of missions across challenging environments.

The HX series’ modular design also boosts operational flexibility, making it a core component in Denmark’s plan to reinforce its heavy infantry brigade. Its proven durability and high mobility have made it a preferred logistics solution among NATO and partner nations. The addition of these platforms significantly enhances Denmark’s future battlefield support capabilities.

RMMV’s TG family will also contribute significantly to the Danish Army’s new logistics fleet. Based on MAN’s commercial heavy-duty vehicle line, the TG-MIL and TGS-MIL variants provide between 340 and 540 horsepower and offer payload capacities of up to 17 tons. With driving ranges exceeding 800 kilometers and fuel capacities up to 400 liters, these trucks deliver performance close to the HX series while offering versatility for both military and support operations.
