According to the Taipei Times, Taiwan has unveiled a five-year plan to procure 1,320 locally manufactured Kuai Chi attack USVs.
Deliveries will be divided into three phases, with the USVs assigned to the Navy’s Coastal Combat Command, Marine Corps, and Army Special Operations Command.
The Naval Command Headquarters has been tasked by the Ministry of National Defense to manage procurement and supervise mass production.
