The Pakistan Navy has expanded its amphibious capabilities with the induction of three 2400 TD hovercraft into the Marines, a move designed to boost mobility across the difficult creek regions of southern Sindh. This initiative is part of a broader modernization strategy focused on strengthening coastal security and rapid-response readiness.
Admiral (name withheld), Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, reviewed combat preparedness during his visit to forward positions in the Creeks Area. The newly inducted hovercraft, officially announced by the Navy, are engineered for operations in shallow, muddy, and tidal zones where conventional craft face challenges. Their deployment marks a major step in improving amphibious efficiency and littoral defense along the nation’s southern coastline.
