L3Harris has secured a $300 million deal from the Italian government to supply two Gulfstream G550 aircraft customized for electromagnetic warfare operations.
The upgraded G550 platforms will enhance the Italian Air Force’s ability to conduct long-range jamming missions that target enemy communication networks, radar installations, and navigation systems.
These new additions will join Italy’s existing special mission fleet, including the Joint Airborne Multi-Mission Multi-Sensor System (JAMMS).
JAMMS is part of L3Harris’ extensive lineup of multi-role mission aircraft already deployed by militaries in the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, and South Korea.
