Israeli startup Insignito has secured a defense contract to supply 180 acoustic drone-detection systems designed to protect VIP-level high-security sites.

Deployment will begin in January 2026 and will gradually expand throughout the year until all units reach full operational status.

Each site will be equipped with six networked “Dumbo” sensors, which use sound triangulation to determine a drone’s distance and direction.

Insignito reports that the system has been tested in both Israel and the US, reliably detecting drones at ranges of up to 2,000 meters while maintaining accurate directional readings.

The company plans to enter the US and European defense markets next year as demand rises from Israeli defense organizations, military tech units, and global partners looking for cost-effective drone detection solutions.

To support its expansion, Insignito has raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding from Fresh Defense Fund and the Colorado-based ICI Fund.

Later this month, the firm will showcase the Dumbo platform at a tactical UAS conference in Tel Aviv, attended by defense leaders and government officials evaluating new drone and security technologies.
