Kongsberg Defence Australia Wins Contracts for Naval Strike Missile Systems

Kongsberg Defence Australia has secured two contracts to supply Australian-produced Naval Strike Missile (NSM) launchers and command-and-control systems to European customers.

Under a deal worth 50 million Australian dollars ($32 million), the company will provide NSM launchers to Spain and Denmark. This marks the first time NSM launchers have been manufactured outside Europe and the United States.

In a separate agreement valued at 30 million Australian dollars ($19.5 million), Kongsberg will deliver NSM Coastal Defence System command-and-control consoles to Poland.

The Polish order follows Warsaw’s 2023 purchase of NSM systems worth 8 billion zloty ($2.19 billion), covering missiles, command vehicles, launchers, and simulators to bolster the country’s coastal defenses.
