Marking a pivotal step in expanding drone defense capabilities, the U.S. Army has awarded MyDefence a historic $26 million contract to deploy wearable counter-UAS systems globally. This move addresses the increasing risk posed by drones and reflects a broader effort to protect soldiers in high-threat operational zones.
The Danish defense firm’s Soldier-Kit—featuring the “Wingman” detector and “Pitbull” jammer—delivers lightweight (1.3 kg), modular protection that integrates seamlessly with a soldier’s gear for high mobility and situational awareness.
The system enables users to effectively detect and neutralize hostile drones in real time while operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
MyDefence’s success with this contract not only underscores the rising importance of agile, soldier-focused drone defenses but also reinforces defense collaboration between the U.S. and Europe.
The Soldier-Kit has already proven its field readiness during recent multinational training exercises in Germany led by U.S. European Command.
