The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin and Raytheon contracts totaling $7.8 billion for the supply of precision munitions to partner nations through foreign military sales.

Lockheed Martin’s $4.29-billion agreement covers the delivery of JASSM and LRASM munitions to Finland, Japan, the Netherlands, and Poland, with completion set for early 2033.

Raytheon will provide AMRAAM missiles and related support under a contract worth up to $3.5 billion. The recipients span Europe, the Indo-Pacific, and the Middle East, including allies such as Canada, Sweden, Taiwan, and the UK. Deliveries are scheduled through FY 2031.

Missile Details

AGM-158 JASSM: This stealthy cruise missile features a 1,000-lb warhead, with baseline and extended-range versions offering reach up to 575 miles. It can be deployed by strategic bombers and multirole fighters.

AGM-158C LRASM: Built for maritime strike, the LRASM offers a 230-mile range and is guided autonomously post-launch. It’s already operational on B-1Bs and F/A-18s, with future compatibility planned for platforms like the F-35 and P-8.

AIM-120 AMRAAM: Raytheon’s signature air-to-air missile uses active radar for independent targeting. Compatible with multiple fighter aircraft, it includes extended-range variants suited for surface-launched systems.
