Ukraine will bolster its air defense capabilities with four additional IRIS-T systems from Germany’s Diehl Defence, under a newly signed €2.2 billion agreement.
The package includes advanced missile launchers, radar units, and command infrastructure designed to intercept fast-moving aerial threats across a range of 25 to 100 kilometers.
Traveling at speeds of Mach 3, these weapons are expected to significantly reinforce Ukraine’s defense perimeter amid the ongoing war and increasing missile attacks from Russia.
