Diehl Defence announced a new support contract with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) to advance the operational capabilities and application of IRIS-T short-range air-to-air missiles on RTAF combat jets.
This contract marks another phase in the productive partnership between Diehl Defence and the RTAF regarding IRIS-T missile use.
For Diehl Defence, this agreement is an important milestone in strengthening ties with the RTAF and expanding IRIS-T deployment to more platforms.
The IRIS-T, a fifth-generation missile, is already in service on Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen, F-16, EF-18, F-5, and Tornado aircraft.
Efforts to integrate the IRIS-T with the KAI KF-21 fighter are ongoing.
