Windracers has announced plans to upgrade its ULTRA drone to deliver 200 kilograms of payload across distances of more than 2,000 kilometers, with availability expected within months. The capability was unveiled at the UK manufacturer’s LAUNCH 2026 event in London, highlighting the platform’s growth as a heavy-lift, dual-use unmanned system. Currently, ULTRA can already fly up to 2,000 kilometers carrying payloads above 100 kilograms and is in service in several countries for both military and civilian missions. Notably, the drone has been operating in Ukraine since 2023 for ISR and logistics support as part of UK aid efforts. With endurance of up to 10 hours, a rugged fixed-wing airframe, and standard-fuel propulsion, ULTRA is designed for long-range cargo delivery in challenging conditions. Windracers says the platform is also poised to expand its footprint across African markets.
