A US manufacturer is combining a powerful gaming laptop with a handheld controller to produce a first-person view (FPV) drone simulator designed to offer troops an “extremely realistic” training experience.
The FPV system from MVRsimulation pairs the company’s Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) with detailed flight dynamics developed by Bihrle Applied Research of Virginia, accurately mirroring the visual and mental demands of battlefield drone operations.
Trainees enter a lifelike FPV setting modeled on real geographic areas, complete with virtual military vehicles, weapons, and equipment rendered in real time.
