The Puma Long Endurance (LE) drone from AeroVironment has received an upgrade that lets it fly through GPS jamming with greater confidence.
The aircraft is now outfitted with the company’s Visual Navigation System (VNS), ensuring stable navigation even when GPS access is lost.
By leveraging downward-looking cameras, multiple sensors, onboard computing, and real-time terrain mapping, the VNS allows the platform to operate independently of satellite guidance.
