Edinburgh Drone Company has introduced its newest one-way attack drone, HAMMER, aimed at delivering increased lethality and flexibility on the modern battlefield.

Co-developed with Aero Solutions, the drone carries a 2.5-kilogram warhead, with the ability to scale up to at least 3.5 kilograms. Operators can choose between a standard 22-kilometer range or an extended-range configuration reaching up to 50 kilometers, allowing strikes from greater stand-off distances.

The HAMMER is catapult-launched, with optional auxiliary batteries available to boost flight time and operational reach. Its design supports reusable warhead cassettes similar to RPG munitions, providing multiple strike options in a compact format.

Safety features include an integrated launch system, safe-arming controls, and a flight termination mechanism to reduce hazards during launch and recovery procedures.

The drone made its debut at EDC’s Haddington site, where partners reviewed its development progress and production plans. During recent trials, the HAMMER reportedly demonstrated the ability to penetrate 600 millimeters of armored steel, underlining its combat effectiveness.

EDC stated that the platform prioritizes simplicity, affordability, and ease of scaling, enabling rapid mass production to meet operational demand.
