Teledyne FLIR has rolled out major performance upgrades for its Ranger radar systems, enhancing speed, range, and precision to meet demanding operational requirements.
The enhancements apply to the R8-3DX and R20SS models, commonly used in border security, base defense, and counter-UAS roles.
The upgraded R8-3DX now provides 360-degree scanning at speeds of up to 60 RPM, while the R20SS reaches 30 RPM, allowing faster threat detection and improved coverage by reducing the radar’s vertical blind spot.
