Saab and Clavister Launch TactiGate XD for Secure Cross-Domain Data Exchange

Saab and Clavister have unveiled TactiGate XD, a cross-domain solution that integrates Saab’s TactiGuard with Clavister’s CyberArmour firewall to enable secure communication across multiple classified systems.

Designed to support defense forces with real-time, mission-critical information, TactiGate XD builds on a partnership formed in July, merging Clavister’s cybersecurity expertise with Saab’s cross-domain technology.

According to Clavister CEO John Vestberg, the system addresses a “critical operational need” by ensuring secure, fast, and reliable data sharing across classified networks.

TactiGate XD offers two-way secure data transfer using policy controls, protocol inspection, dynamic routing, and encrypted tunnels, fully compliant with NATO standards. It enforces strict access controls, defends against denial-of-service attacks, and blocks malware and software exploits.

The solution features AI-driven anomaly detection, multi-layered authentication, and strong encryption, protecting both manned and autonomous platforms from unauthorized access.

By combining multiple functions in a single unit, TactiGate XD reduces size, weight, power use, and installation complexity, making it ideal for space- and resource-limited environments.
