Grid Aero Unveils Heavy-Lift Autonomous Cargo Drone
California-based startup Grid Aero has come out of stealth mode with its Lifter-Lite autonomous cargo drone, which it describes as the “pickup truck of the skies.”
Developed in just six months, the aircraft is capable of transporting thousands of pounds of cargo over long distances. Its scalable design allows it to adapt payload and range based on mission requirements.
The Lifter-Lite combines conventional flight controls with AI-driven systems, enabling it to deliver supplies internationally and conduct intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, even in contested environments.
